Our work focuses on a practical question: how should an institution establish and continuously verify the authority of software that can independently access systems, invoke tools and initiate consequential workflows?

01 / MACHINE IDENTITY

Identity as the control plane for autonomous systems.

Autonomous software creates an accountability problem that conventional service accounts do not solve. A useful identity must describe the acting object, its accountable sponsor, model and workload bindings, declared purpose, permitted capabilities and current lifecycle state.

Compute Passport™ treats these properties as part of a governed authority object rather than metadata added after execution. The result is an identity that can be resolved, constrained and revoked before an action is accepted.

02 / CONTINUOUS AUTHORITY

Authentication is an event. Authority is a state.

An agent may remain authenticated while its operating conditions change. A model version can be withdrawn. A workload can lose attestation. A policy can change. A sponsor can revoke delegated authority.

High-assurance architecture therefore needs a decision layer that resolves current status at the time of action and can return permit, restrict or deny with explicit obligations.

03 / EVIDENCE ENGINEERING

Audit records should survive the system being audited.

Application logs are useful operational records, but they are often mutable and generated by the same system under review. Solarion's reference model records material decisions in a hash-linked evidence chain and supports external immutable storage for independent reconstruction.

The objective is not merely more logging. It is to preserve enough verified context to answer what acted, under which authority, against which policy, with what outcome.

04 / DUAL-USE CONTROL

Preserving useful autonomy while constraining consequence.

Dual-use environments need controls that are precise enough to avoid disabling legitimate automated work. The platform separates low-risk actions that can proceed automatically from restricted actions that require additional assurance or human approval, and denied actions that remain outside the delegated authority envelope.

This approach is consistent with a broader shift toward security-aware identity and agent governance architectures for machine-speed systems. It is designed for integration with institutional security programs rather than as a substitute for them.

Research status

Solarion Defense research materials describe reference architecture and product direction. They are not security certifications, government approvals or statements of conformity. Operational deployments require environment-specific security assessment, authorization and control validation.
